Important information

Can I have my child with me on the horse?

No, we never put 2 people on a horse.

Can we do it if it is our first time?

Absolutely. Our 1h excursion is perfect for beginners aged 10 and over. Our 2h ride is available for adventurous or experienced riders aged 13 and over. Riders aged between 10 and 12 are welcome on our 1h ride, however a minimum of experience is required for the smooth running of the activity.

Is it english or western style horseback riding?

Western.

How should we be dressed?

- A helmet (bombe) is mandatory for everyone (we can provide one for you).

- Comfortable clothing and closed shoes are required.

When should I reserve?

A day in advance is sufficient. We often have same-day availability.

Do we trot or gallop?

No, we ride at a walking pace only, so the activity is accessible to everyone.

Forest Ride

Experience our horseback riding in Val-des-Lacs activity and discover the beautiful Laurentian landscapes. Our 1 hour guided tour will take you through a forest trail. Our horseback riding in Val-des-Lacs is an ideal family activity for beginners/intermediates. No trotting or galloping. Maximum 6 horses per tour, 1 person per horse.

Panorama & Bisons for adventurous riders

Our horse trail ride in Val-des-Lacs is a great experience for adventurous riders. You’ll head up mountain trails to the summit where you can enjoy the panoramic views over the Val-des-Lacs region. Along the way, you will also have the chance to observe North America’s biggest land mammal, bisons, who are on-site in a species protection program.

The experience begins with a brief presentation of the horses and installation of the equipment required. After a safety briefing we start with valley trails that pass through lush pastures, and then ascend into the mountains for panoramic views. This horse trail ride is perfect for riders who are confident and adventurous. We do not trot or gallop. Maximum 4 horses per tour, 1 person per horse.

Know before you book :

  • Maximum 4 people between 141 and 210 lbs per tour. We will contact you promptly if we are unable to accommodate you on the tour.
  • Minimum 13 years old if no experience, minimum 10-12 years old with experience (Forest ride).
  • Minimum height: 3’7” (1m09).
  • Maximum weight 210lbs/95kg.
  • Pregnant women cannot participate.
  • Maximum 6 horses per tour, 1 person per horse.
  • Forest Ride: This activity is for beginners/intermediates. No trotting or galloping.
  • Panorama & Bisons: This horse trail ride activity is for adventurous/confirmed riders. No trotting or galloping.

  • We are located 35 minutes from Mont-Tremblant, 40 minutes from Saint-Sauveur, and approx 2 hours from Montreal and Ottawa.
  • Activity Duration – Adahy: Total duration: 1 hour and 45 minutes, including a 1-hour horseback ride and 45 minutes of preparation. Bison Panorama: 2 hours and 45 minutes, including a 2-hour horseback ride / visit bison and 45 minutes of preparation
